About the position

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and proactive accountant to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely reporting. The Accountant will oversee the general ledger, reconcile balance sheet accounts, review supplier and customer payments weekly, lead monthly financial reporting, and manage a team within the accounting department. This role is based in our client's Pretoria offices, requiring in-office presence.



Reporting Structure:

The Accountant will report directly to the Financial Manager within our client's organization.



Qualifications and Experience:

• B. Com Hons in Accounting Sciences
• Completed articles
• Minimum 2 years post article experience in a commercial environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Recording accounting transactions accurately.
• Reviewing and processing payments and refunds.
• Supervising the work of direct reports.
• Performing reconciliations for supplier/customer accounts and bank transactions.
• Managing team members effectively.
• Corresponding with various stakeholders.
