About the position
We're seeking a seasoned Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead the way on exciting projects!
In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in cabling, substations, overhead lines, and renewable energy to oversee electrical construction projects from conception to completion.
Qualification and Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or Project/Construction management
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Engineering projects
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager in Engineering or Electrical Construction projects.
- Knowledge of technical and commercial aspects of Electrical Construction projects (Cabling, Substations, Overhead lines, Renewable energy)
- A Project Management Qualification and registration with a professional body will be advantageous.
Key Performance Areas :
Responsible for overall project management of Electrical Construction Projects from inception to project close-out.
- Manage all aspects of at least (but not limited to) two or more large-scale complex, or significant engineering projects from start to finish. Be completed on time and within budget and according to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Standards and according to the Principles of Project Management.
- Responsible for Project Risk management.
- Manage suppliers /contractors/sub-contractors appointed to execute the project.
- Maintain all Contractual, Legal and Commercial Conditions of the Contract.
- Contracts Management (NEC, GCC, JBCC, FIDIC).
- Create, maintain and utilize project management systems to manage the project costs
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule, in order to complete the project within budget and contractual delivery period.
- Monitor, control and report on Project performance indicators such as Cost, Schedule and SHEQ.
- Manage Cash flow, Invoicing, Debtors, Sureties, Bonds and Guarantees.
- Responsible for effective management of all Project Resources.
- Manage and maintain relationships through regular contact with all business and project stakeholders.
- Create and maintain all project and contractual documentation, including records of all meetings.
- Manage and achieve Project profitability targets
- Assist commercial/tendering function within the business with compilation of tenders.
- Conduct postmortems on completed project.
- Manage Factory Acceptance Tests and Inspections.
- Ensure customer requirements and expectations are met
- Will be the accountable person for the successful execution of the project.
